When do I need to submit an Architectural Review Form? There are specific sections of the Governing Documents that can be helpful in answering this question. Article 7 of the CC&Rs is all about Architectural Review. The rules are very general and all encompassing. This is done purposely to make sure that the HOA has the ability to regulate inconsistent changes of to the neighborhood that may be unsightly, unsafe or inconsistent with the neighborhood aesthetics. With that being said, very few Architectural Review Requests are denied except in extreme situations. For example, if someone wants to paint their house bright pink or erect a statue in the middle of their lawn that does not fit in well with the neighborhood. An unsafe example would be the erection of a structure that is not built to code and does not follow city guidelines. The HOA does not want to retroactively have to correct changes made and now need to be altered or removed because it does not follow the rules. We ask that the Architectural Request Form is submitted for all changes covered within Article 7. The ARC is committed to responding to requests in a timely manner. If you have any questions, we encourage you to contact us.
